On Android I've noticed a lot of sexually explicit in-app ads. Never had that experience on iOS, probably because Apple are strict and specifically regulate against it.

Not sure about your definition of "explicit", but I think in almost 10 years of being an Android user I got what I would call an "explicit ad" probably a dozen times or less, certainly not often enough to actually start noticing it
