When referring to npm, it's important to keep the CLI and company separate. "npm" is the CLI which will be around forever! "npm inc" is the company. They aren't mutually exclusive.

True, I'm guessing with the announcement from Microsoft there will be lots of references to npm rather than npm inc but hopefully in the context of a company the reader will out it together it is the inc not cli? (I can't edit my tweet so fingers crossed )
