Car bluetooth is even showing more playback metadata... Amazing.

Google Maps for Android keeps harassing me while driving to answer yes/no questions about whether there's a speed trap or if there's still congestion. It's extremely distracting and dangerous. GMaps for iOS doesn't do it. Wonder if Apple forbids it?

Another iOS and Android inconsistency is how header text wraps. On Android it does... this? Is this normal? I can barely read it at a glance while I'm driving.pic.twitter.com/IoIDrSvleg

Love my S9+ still though I'd probably switch to a new pixel. I miss stock Android and Bixby is super meh.
-
What in particular do you miss about stock Android? I'm not familiar at all with the launcher ecosystem so I don't know what I'm missing out on. Agreed that Bixby is super meh, Google Assistant seems just as well supported without having a dedicated button though, right?

Another thing I love is that it turns off wireless charging when it overheats. I have a wireless charger car mount, and my iPhone X overheats all the time, which causes everything to be super laggy and it turns the brightness down so I can't see anything.

Out of curiosity, why did you decide to make the switch? I have been thinking of getting a new phone and I don’t know if I would get another iPhone anymore - the prices are nuts ...
-
I haven't really switched, at least not yet. I have a personal iPhone a d requested a work phone since I joined the React Native team and need an Android device to test with.

Having been on iOS for 4 months now I can’t wait to switch back. Will probs wait for the next one plus phone to come out. Not sure what my biggest pet peeve is, but Android has: Better keyboards Ability to turn off gps easily + switch wifi Doesn’t try open my links in Safari

- Open source - Actually allows other browsers (AFAIK, all browsers on iOS are just wrappers around Safari's engine) - Customizable launchers (I love Nova Launcher) - Android Auto's UI isn't stuck in the past like Apple CarPlay - Can build apps without an Apple laptop
