In my humble opinion using SSR is way too expensive for a website with a lot lf hits, what I see they do however is send some html skeleton and the user state from the server to the client allowing a faster hydration or render. At least is what I grasped testing with Devtools

Perhaps the most interesting bit for people using SSR today — we’re experimenting with server rendering React code. Historically we haven’t put as much effort into the SSR implementation compared to the client one, but that will change. pic.twitter.com/FWINJiqBqU
