        The one time I tried this the HDMI ports were inaccessible through the TV menu/remote ... :/

        Yeah, sometimes there’s a set top box preventing it. You can usually unplug it and the normal TV menus become accessible.

        Pro tip. If you have a semi-recent iOS device you can get an iOS beta and get their upcoming TV app. Then sign in to HBO with it. And download it offline!

        Chromecast is the only thing you need when traveling. Just use the mobile hotspot feature in Windows 10 to connect it to hotel wifi. In Windows 7 you would need to create a hotspot manually. pic.twitter.com/2tYkLLWsWp
