should conf speakers be allowed to use screenshots of tweets without asking/informing the authors?

If someone wants to use my name and face: ask permission If they just want to use the text: meh I find it uncomfortable when I hear that my face and name appear in some random talk that I know nothing about. I don’t want to inadvertently endorse something I don’t agree with.

I understand but... Once your account is public, isn't kind of hard to control that? Let's take an example: an paper article referencing a blog post, do the article author need to ask permission to blog author or I'm completly lost in this subject?
