people say “manager readmes” are cocky+prescriptive, but if I want to tell things like * your health is more important to me than your work, or * if you’re unhappy please lmk and I’ll try to help even if that means you leaving the team why _shouldn’t_ I write in a durable doc?
There’s also things that are easier to say in a doc than in person. I’m on the reverse side of “IC readmes”. There’s mental/personal stuff that I’ve told most managers, but when I get a new one it’s awkward to bring up and draw attention to, but still valuable for them to know.

At webflow everyone has a "user guide" that says how to work with us, what we value, etc. They're a fantastic tool
