Is there any software to assist in the code review/audit of an existing codebase? I figured there must be something to help since security audits are relatively common and have the same constraints.

Oh nice! That actually looks very close to what I want. Looks very focused on collaboration whereas this would be more for my understanding, and as documentation for others to understand.

Are you asking for a todo list? I don't think that kind of applications has ever been build.

Sad :( Seems pretty useful. When you add third party dependencies to your project, nobody actually proof reads/audits/whatever them. Software specifically designed for it would be great.

One hacky-ish solution if you use a Github or another git web UI with collab PR reviews: checkout an orphan branch, commit it with no files, push up. Then open a PR from master -> orphan. You’ll get a diff of the whole codebase you can comment on.
