I'm not really into tech conferences --- I don't care what you're marketing, the technology isn't very interesting to me, I don't really get on well with the people. I'd rather just sit in the hallway and compose music on my laptop or something, but I think that's frowned upon :\
I feel you. My entire time at conferences is spent speed walking around, avoiding human interactions, hiding at the back of the room (chairs are uncomfortable and I hate being squished next to others), and desperately looking for someone I already know.
