Apple offering free engraving on the new Airpods is smart. If you get it then you’re reducing the resale value of your Airpods, and making it less likely someone will buy it.

Would you actually buy a pair of earphones from someone else for use tho? However, to your point, I can imagine folks buying one off of a tech celeb if it's engraved (proven to have been in the ears of some, ha!)
