I should clarify. Working on a parser in JavaScript is fun. Working on a parser to parse JavaScript, is not.

Which part do you dislike the most?

JS grammar is pretty complex. There's a lot of context-dependent grammar and it makes it hard to reason about. More specifically, in order to get good performance you have to write some pretty esoteric code.

No it's great! Just skip the es6+ bits and stick to es5. Use Babel for the rest. Simple life! :D I kinda wanna redo mine now that I know how to tackle the arrow/destructuring/async shitshows. Kinda.
