React doesn’t include enough out of the box, and the lack of any official sanctioned recommendations increases ecosystem fragmentation and actively harms the ecosystem.

It’s seemingly unpopular among the React team 🙂

Not really. I think we agree with this. However we also believe that you can’t deliver a whole solution if you don’t actively use it. A model that seems to work is promoting full-box setups like Next.js and Gatsby and working closely with them.

Also hard to determine what the bar is to be considered a "React blessed framework". Especially when the only ones you've listed are controlled by startups, so i's easier to drive adoption which isn't necessarily a comparative signal for usefulness.

The bar for “React blessed” is often impossibly high because our conception of how React apps should be built is based on core features we haven’t finished yet

Are you saying that "React blessed" hasn't already been defined? Seems like if multiple React core members recommend something then it's implicitly React core recommended and thus "blessed".

Do you think the bar is going to be stable though? It seems like as React development continues the bar is just going to get higher until eventually the things to be "blessed" are in React itself. Or is that the goal?

That’s a good question, not sure myself. Really the biggest missing pieces are Concurrent and Suspense, which will be useEffect x100 in the way it changes how people write React. If those are successful then I think we’ll see more stable third party solutions. If not, who knows.
