Although I guess an example where the React team recommended something that eventually got superseded without FB/React involvement was 6to5 vs jstransform. Although not sure that's very representative or reproducible.

Are you saying that "React blessed" hasn't already been defined? Seems like if multiple React core members recommend something then it's implicitly React core recommended and thus "blessed".

I think the biggest challenge is just the bar for every solution being very high. Like people laugh when I say “all styling solutions aren’t good enough yet” but I think it’s true. We’ll definitely recommend stuff that’s solid. In fact that stuff probably becomes React.
