I'm from NL and floating point numbers in programming languages have made me *permanently* confused about whether to use a dot or comma

I don't know with certainty what other "light green" countries use, but in France we call it a "thousands separator" ans it's a simple space. Like this : 1 234 567,89

In Germany, a period is used as the thousands separator (we call it that as well), like this: 1.234.567,89 I.e., the characters are swapped, which makes English punctuation especially weird for us.

Is it possible to use the LANG env variable to attempt to guess the answer to this? Might not work in all consoles, but then just default back to _ ~ ❯ echo
$LANG en_US.UTF-8Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Why is my country (Croatia) blueish? We’re definitely 100% comma.

To be fair, on the poll the number showed more than one comma, so it was clear (at least for me, a non-English speaker) which function it was serving.
