Pi Day is terrible because it’s an annual reminder that Americans use the MM/DD format. It’s uniquely an “international” American holiday. The date format is almost as worse as the choice to use Fahrenheit but not quite.

Also I refuse to engage in any Fahrenheit arguments, bite mehttps://twitter.com/sebmck/status/951969249915944960?s=21 …

There is only one correct date format. The one that sorts in order. https://xkcd.com/1179/ pic.twitter.com/DnQ9mNNwI3

I've started to prefer booking appointments after the 12th so that I'm sure there can't be any misinterpretation.

You could do yy/mm/dd tho, then you’ve chosen the best way worldwidehttps://www.xkcd.com/1179/

What I like about this format is that if you sort it alphanumerically you end up with a sorted set of dates.

What's funny about this is as a 'merican, I've started using YYYY-MM-DD format for dates everywhere because it feels less ambiguous to everyone.

I think it is a valid argument for the 'Merican format that you want to have an excuse to celebrate and eat pie every year rather than once in the year 3141 and whatever month is set to 59

I’m also disgusted. I take it if you’ve also started writing color when not coding?
