I’ve started to default to writing dates MM/DD because I have to do it on every single American document and I’m disgusted with myself.

Also you nerds, I love Pi Day. I memorised 100 digits of Pi in high school because my teacher said they would give me a chocolate bar if I could. I can still recite it off the top of my head.

As much as I like to make fun of American lack of world, this one doesn't seem like a very exclusive club. What's your frame of reference? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format_by_country …

Pi Day is officially recognised by the US Government. United States, Philippines, Micronesia, and Marshall Islands didn’t have quite the same ring to it.

I think all we should adopt “stardate” notation from Star Trek. ASAP. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stardate
-
We should just use epoch time, date and time encoded in a single number, obviously superior!

Fahrenheit is interesting because it’s not very useful for science but it is pretty useful for humans. - if over 100F, don’t go outside - if under 0F, don’t go outside - else, you’ll probably be fine
-
Ya!! No one ever talks about this part. Fahrenheit is actually very useful.
