I have 2 Razer laptops actually! I primarily run Linux on them. I have a personal Razer Blade Pro 17" 4K. It's basically a glorified desktop and I don't recommend it. 17" screen is impractical, even though it performs like a beast.

The 4K model also comes with this faux-mechnical keyboard which takes some getting used to but is pretty janky. I hear the regular model uses Razer's standard membrane laptop keyboard though which is a lot better.

The second is a regular Razer Blade 15" and is what I'd recommend to anyone wanting a Razer laptop. It has "decent" battery life ~4-5ish hours under Linux which historically has pretty bad laptop battery perf. It's a really nice form factor and decently powered.

I don't like two things about it though. The metal they use on the chassis gets finger prints and smudges on it super easily and it looks disgusting. I got a skin from http://dbrand.com though and it looks great.

The other thing I don't like is that it uses a propeitary charger (USB-C doesn't draw enoguh watts) which is a bummer, both laptops use it.

also what about its inability to handle a full glass of coke poured onto the keyboard?

That's true! Although I think you're conflating two different laptop spill incidents. I spilled coke on my 13" MBP when I was 16 and fried it. I spilled coffee on my 17" Razer and I just ended up fucking the lights and breaking some of the key caps when I pried them off.
