I kinda roll my eyes whenever I see "senior developer" in someone's bio. This isn't your resume. The title is so arbitrary and it feels like an unnecessary brag.

I see where you’re coming from but for some folks it actually helps them be taken seriously. I’m not sure who you’re referring to but for URM folks you sometimes have to wear your credentials at all times.

URM isn't something I'd considered and you're absolutely right, thanks for highlighting. For what it's worth, I've only ever seen "senior developer" on the profiles of white men on Twitter.

If your beef was with seniority as a title or hierarchy in general, I might agree with you. But this mostly sounds like your perception of "senior" and what you prejudice toward that flex. Also, it DOES make it easier for a lot of people to use cred, bragging or not
