I kinda roll my eyes whenever I see "senior developer" in someone's bio. This isn't your resume. The title is so arbitrary and it feels like an unnecessary brag.

Some folks have to work way harder than you and I to get a title like that even though they've qualified for it for a long time. I'd cut them some slack :)

I think it depends on the context -- the tone throughout the bio; do they sound arrogant?

I don't think the context really matters. Advertising you're senior feels like you're bragging because it doesn't change anything. It feels like they're ashamed to be associated with "normal developers".
