That's the one. It's obscenely difficult to get unless you've done public talks/judging, have a following, AND are exceptional in what you do. For most people a degree is the only feasible avenue to the US. It's honestly the only reason I have a degree.
Public talks and judging aren't required. There's a large number of possible evidence you can use.

Yea, that was worded poorly. There's a whole list (https://onlinevisas.com/visas/us-visas/o1/ …), but from talking to lawyers it seems you'd need 3 - 4 of the requirements. My point is it's quite difficult to get, even if you're "just" extremely good at what you do. All that vs having a degree.
