this fucking dude. like, gary has learned and forgotten more about computers than like 99% of us will ever learn in our lifetimes, and instead of wasting it, he spends his whole day every day teaching folx how to do new cool stuff
Yeah I'm really shocked. I've been following Gary ever since I got into programming. I remember watching his screencasts and he's been so valuable to every community he's been a part of. The gall required to call anyone, let alone Gary, a "washed-up shitposter" is ridiculous.

I like Gary Bernhardt, and the original tweet was a disaster, but Gary does seem to be held to a different standard than others. He can be very dismissive of other people's work (even if he does not name them) .

I’m not familiar enough with Gary’s tweeting style. It’s important to note that Sean has been harassing Gary for a long time now, even though Gary has him blocked. His behaviour isn’t specific to Gary though, he does it to others, and many have messaged or replied with such.
