Both. I understand the technical constraints. I thought their app was just Electron but I just inspected the .app and it uses a bunch of native cocoa and Swift stuff so that's more understandable. Maybe they have some cross platform abstractions inside of it that I can't see.

In addition, I’ve also worked at companies in the past that chose not to support other platforms because of lack of enough support resources. We believed the relatively number of likely users weren’t enough to justify the added support overhead. Cont.

was very early in the life of the company of course, where ever dollar spent is a risk vs reward. After about a year and a series A we did eventually start supporting Windows, although it actually did cost the company more than it was making off of them at the time dunno later
