Don’t know exactly who the “owner” of this bug is, but it looks like Chrome on iOS is reporting non-existent safe area insets...which makes my app look a little weird...pic.twitter.com/g2oq5Or0GH

Cross checked with FF and Edge on iOS and they don’t have the same problem. It looks like it’s a bug with the Chrome app itself.

Have you tried on an iOS webview outside of Chrome? Could be something specific with the way WebKit is embedded.

I seem to recall the webview provided to apps not being the same as what Safari uses. FWIW

I get that, but Edge & FF don't have the same issue. Also just tested it in Messenger's in-app webview and it doesn't happen there either. Must be something Chrome is doing wrong.
