I hope you are sarcastic :P. If not, then
@unclebobmartin would beg to disagree: "Comments do not make up for bad code". IMO, comments can at most add further clarity to your code, but they cannot magically turn its quality 180 degrees. - 1 more reply

I would change it slightly: bad code can become easily understandable (which is usually what makes code "good") with enough comments

Only if the code is only bad because it isn’t easily understandable, which it definitely can be, does adding comments make it good, and even good might be a stretch. More like acceptable...
