It’s expensive and companies like 23&me don’t do whole genome analysis, they just look for markers that correlate to their research studies. A regular lab has no reason to do this

Of course a lab that does random blood testing isn’t going to have the resources to do DNA sequencing, but that doesn’t mean the blood samples couldn’t be sold after. A DNA profile doesn’t consist of an entire sequenced genome.
