It's been 1 week since someone drove into @Anagobarreto's car and @StateFarm are refusing to let us get it fixed despite having video footage showing that the other person was at fault

FWIW my understanding based on last accidents was that if it wasn’t clear to the insurance provider who was at fault immediately you could get it fixed on your own dime and if they deem you weren’t at fault they would reimburse you. IANAL and all that though.

Even if you're 1000% at fault, insurance still pays for the repairs, though. If you're *not* at fault (ie you get rear-ended) the only difference is that your insurance will try to get their insurance to pay your deductible (which they usually will)
