I want to make a really basic docs website. Ideally I just want to write
markdown and CSS. Nothing fancy, everything static. Trying out @gatsbyjs but feel intimidated with the usage of GraphQL in the boilerplate project and having to use JS to write everything up.

You don’t have to use graphql, most of my data is just hard coded arrays and json files.

Lol, I threw out all GraphQL in my Gatsby project as well, and went for JSON, but didn't dare to say so publicly. I think I still don't "get it"
. And the philosophy section in the docs is still "TODO"

I used Gatsby with MDX for my docs page recently. https://atomiks.github.io/tippyjs/ Source: https://github.com/atomiks/tippyjs/tree/master/website … It works amazingly well, the trickiest part was understanding GraphQL and getting the plugins to work together.
