Person on the right parked after so would have had a hard time getting out. It’s literally in everyone’s best interest not to park like an asshole.

I think the technical term is "Van-spreading".

Parking like this would be easier for a van actually because then you wouldn’t have to worry about the door wing spread

Isn't this why they invented the sunroof? Alas, they neglected to put a remote upen/close feature on the damn thing, otherwise I could exit, close the sunroof, go about my business, and then reëenter my car no matter how blocked the doors were.

But I have a wagon with an electric liftgate, so I already have a solution to this problem :-D
