Yeah, this is super tool agnostic, I'm counting byte ranges and that's all. The hypothesis is that for a given bundle any source column + line span maps back to the bundle for a given line + column span. Thus you should be able to calculate the final bundle size by summing them

Source maps and HMR are both speculative technologies :P They only get to 95%

While .bind(this) may only be an artifact of transpilation I would still like to see attribution here. It would be a great way to express how much bloat is due to compile overhead.

100%. I've been crawling through a ton of bundles lately and the amount of duplication, polyfills, duplication and over-transpilation is making me sad.

JSX is another. I'm seeing a lot of apps use babel-plugin-transform-react-inline-elements, which usually ends up adding the same VNode factory function to every module closure, often hundreds of them.
