After spending hours trying to get certbot and Let's Encrypt to work, and messing with Python dependency hell, I'm ready to just call it a day and buy a cheap SSL cert.
With certbot I control where the certificates are stored and when they're regenerated.

You can do that with Caddy too. Just set CADDYPATH. It dumps the certificates right onto your disk.

If you want more of a 1:1 crossover from CertBot, use lego's command line tool. It's also in Go, so no external dependencies, and you have to script it to automate it to renew, etc:https://github.com/xenolf/lego
