After spending hours trying to get certbot and Let's Encrypt to work, and messing with Python dependency hell, I'm ready to just call it a day and buy a cheap SSL cert.

What HTTP server are you using? Let's encrypt is very easy to setup with Nginx.
My problem is starting the client in the first place, not the automatic setup

yup its python dependencies, they could npm or sth :) but when you get trough this it works perfectly
