To get a green card you need to be vaccinated against DT, DTP, DTaP, Td, Tdap, OPV, IPV, MMR, Hib, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, varicella, pneumococcal influenza, rotavirus and meningococcal disease. Which means immigrants are more vaccinated than most of the US population.

Also they will need to physically inspect you for syphilis, even though you can cure that with antibiotics. It is super intrusive and humiliating.

I've been there and feel your pain. Pro tip: pick a doctor who is themselves an immigrant and they will make it as fast and painless as possible.

I'm terrified of needles so the immunizations are the thing I'm not looking forward to the most.
