Reasons I’m not using TypeScript: - It’s a whole separate language with its own compiler and other tooling. At least Flow is ONLY a type system. - It is a lot heavier than just types. There are entire new language constructs in TS that require compilation.

- Despite what they say, TS is NOT a superset of JS. It changes the semantics of JS in subtle ways. - The community is toxic. “If you’re not using typescript, you’re doing it wrong” is not a good attitude to have about a project you use.

TL;DR I want to write JS, with optional types. Not some other language. Flow is currently a way to do that. I’m not saying it’s perfect - far from it. In fact, Flow is quite buggy in my experience so far. And yes, Flow has community problems too.
