It's a horrible idea imho to replace selection based on quality with selection on arbitrary criteria such as gender. Who cares? Only quality matters. If it's a woman, great. If not, great.

I say this being fully aware that the crucial software that made the Apollo program a success was written by a woman. Total respect for women on software. Let the software speak for itself. Not whatever you have between your legs.
