Bought a family computer as our kids are getting more interested in creating stuff. So now I'm learning how to build 2D games with GameMaker Studio (Unity later) to help my son and Toon Boom Harmony to animate to help my daughter. No more Switch for me!

Excellent choice! GameMaker was one of the early programs that got me started learning how to code.

I love Gamemaker! I used to be on that forum too. My son now makes GameMaker Studio 2 games. It’s a really slick system.
