Relying on object property order for a styling API. Good or bad? eg. styles({ backgroundBlue: true, backgroundRed: true, }); In this case the background would be `red` as it appears last. Relying on property order feels gross but can't think of a better API?

it should be clear that active style takes precedence over default style, preferably have a default+active style as a separate state. This can be then compared to css specificity of selectors (id/class). In any case I voted against as they should both change one property.
