So far Las Vegas is pretty terrible and disgusting. Are there some redeeming factors I’m missing? Good areas?

It's important to get the facts straight. It's a country full of people who love, laugh, cry, sing, and cook great food who'd appreciate it. The least we can do since some of our tax dollars has contributed to some of it's destruction.

Only that I don’t want to travel to a country where my citizenship does not offer my consular services or verify my safety, and that many airlines choose not to fly to.
