So far Las Vegas is pretty terrible and disgusting. Are there some redeeming factors I’m missing? Good areas?

Maybe I’ll take my family to Syria or something next year.

Syria is beautiful. Used to spent a better part of every summer of my childhood there.

Appreciate this, original comment felt a bit insensitive to me

It was a joke about how Syria is politically unstable and does not have a tourism industry. A juxtaposition. Unclear what was insensitive about it. Nevada/LV is also beautiful!

So bad that Syria that massad talked about has been lost years ago

Not entirely true. Some of my cousins still live there. Damascus is good and things are not that bad. There's even some tourism. The news is fake about Syria.
@TulsiGabbard is one of the few that relays the truth about the situation there. Check out her stuff.2 replies 0 retweets 6 likes -

It's important to get the facts straight. It's a country full of people who love, laugh, cry, sing, and cook great food who'd appreciate it. The least we can do since some of our tax dollars has contributed to some of it's destruction.

I didn’t say anything about that. Only that I don’t want to travel to a country where my citizenship does not offer my consular services or verify my safety, and that many airlines choose not to fly to.
