Our Google Home voice preference was changed from Australian to the default American one. It’s also removed the ability for me to change the voice. What sort of AB test hell am I in right now.

It's pretty disappointing though. This has been a regular occurrence with Google Home/Assistant. Constant temporary regressions in patterns it recognises and other behaviour. Makes it really hard for me to actually rely on it for anything complicated or important.

Even simple things like setting timers changed recently, the way we added a label a month ago just… doesn’t work any more.

I don't find Siri useful either, I use it only for fun. I asked my iPhone "Which version of iPhone is this?" (different forms of that question) and it always just directed me to http://apple.com . I asked my phone what it is and it didn't know, that's pretty silly.
