I wish each execution had it's own lexical scope that inherited from the previous, that way this would automatically be allowed and you could shadow variables.

That's a really neat way of solving this. I've added it to the issue.

I like it. Like the old lexical eval trick that allowed incremental code loading via XHR through eval defined inside the closure wrapping the previous XHR.

funny enough, by just using IIFE you get exactly that, own scopes that can reuse parent'scope variables
