Interesting. I'm thinking we'll move a lot of things inside of the settings panel (gear icon). Maybe we could add a toggle there. I'm tempted to say it's sufficient to require people to select an item to see the props in the details pane though.
Often the only way of identify a component in a list is through its attributes. The only case that isn't true is if you can identify it by its text content. I really think that the only thing that matters that we get right is black boxing and then text content is often hidden.
