We live near a roundabout (traffic circle) and it’s hilarious watching Americans be so confused. I’ve watched people yield while on the roundabout and drive around it the wrong way.

They have a massive tree in the middle so you can’t see people enter either. 1+ to the traffic engineer who designed it. -1 to the landscaper for making it more dangerous.

Despite knowing you're not supposed to I often nearly yield when in them as well because I half expect other Americans to just blow right in without yielding

In France they have “priority a droite” which means you yield to cars coming into the flow of traffic, including from side roads or entrances to roundabouts. It’s horrifying.

There was a roundabout near my university that had stop signs at each entry point. My friend got a ticket for not seeing the stop sign and simply yielding. 🙃

The one next to my mom’s house in Seattle. Nearly daily someone just drives straight over it (even though there are flowers in the middle). Multiple people have hit the curb there and ended up crashing into the sidewalk.

There's a roundabout at the entrance to my neighborhood, and it's equally hilarious and frustrating watching people erroneously yield and use the wrong turn signal

I always ask myself why theres directional arrows for some roundabouts, there's only one friggin' way to go around!

First time seeing a four way stop confused me a lot when driving in the US... although I doubt nobody can get that one quite as wrong as going the wrong way in a roundabout...
