      Going to dual boot Windows 10 for gaming and Ubuntu for programming. Feel super nostalgic, haven’t done this stuff since I got my first MacBook.

      system notifications? not working on WSL. Gtk+ applications? Not working on WSL. That's a goodbye for Gimp, Inkscape, and others. lspci ? not working there ... lsmod ? nope. require("os").cpus() in node? nope, no hardware access: WSL is a joke, and it will be a joke for a while.

      Who even pitches WSL for those usecases? All of those GUI applications have Windows builds, running them on WSL seems pointless.
