Mmm. Idk. My husband often travels to places to give talks, like Japan, where often things aren’t in English, but if he hadn’t gotten materials related to the event in English, he wouldn’t have shown up certainly, because his Japanese is terrible.
Yeah I really don't see anything wrong with the either... You can argue that doing it entirely in English is inaccessible since a majority of the audience spoke that language and aren't necessarily fluent in English.
