I certainly don't speak for Peterson, but I've been writing about these subjects in tedious detail for nine years in the pages of a major metropolitan daily, and your apparent confusion about my views suggests to me that public argument may be pointless.

I'm just trying to articulate what I think people are scared of. If you think people don't have a right to be scared of those things, fine, but that's all I'm trying to do here. I think my thread was pretty even-handed.

I think you did a good job of making people scared about something basically unfathomable (social conservatives accruing enough social power to enforce conservatism in the US.) I actually think it's unusual for social conservatives to even consider trying to change society.
