Personally we should take the word black out of the equation. They are children it’s a shame that in 2018 race is still a factor. Children’s lives matter regardless of race. Every child should be treated equally.

Stop and search is a great way to help combat this problem and it needs to be used. No matter what race these kids are stop them search them. I would rather these kids be pissed off or even offended but be alive.

Stop and search stopped, the crime rate skyrocketed. Your feelings aren’t more important than the safety of everyone. If you have nothing to hide a search isn’t a violation. Certain groups are more likely to commit crime and therefore more likely to be searched. Simple

Stop and search is the only way to take weapons off the streets. Period. There needs to be some form of "hot spot policing" to tackle violent crime.https://twitter.com/anonmugwump/status/983254316113948672?s=21 …

Refusing to effectively police areas like Haringey due to fear of backlash is not progressive. It's endangering children in minority areas. They should not need to fear for their lives. The state has a responsibility to keep the lives of all of its citizens safe.

Obviously youth services and other such things continue to be important but they are not enough. The violence and slaughter of innocents has to be stopped as it creates an environment that harms the future of even the children that learn to carefully navigate it.

Latter point I think is important. If you're a boy/girl who is trying hard to lead a good life and make something out of themselves, they should feel safe to go outside and pursue their interests without having to watch their backs.
