A "robot tax" would be a tax on innovation, on the engine of prosperity. You tax what you want less of.
Would that apply to income tax too? Surely we don't tax people's employment because we want less of them.

Don't disagree that it would be a tax on innovation. But not sure we tax primarily as a disincentive.
