I thought it'd be fun to write a debugger but was having a lot of difficulty understanding how to do so by reading VSCode's source.

Do you know, by any chance, if there is a way of determining whether a script has finished executing? I have some 'paused' code that repeatedly runs a `stepInto` and by the end it fires a 'resumed' event and then no 'paused' event which kind of means it's finished.

But that assumption seems janky, since it could just be taking a long time before pausing on the next line again...

Or there could be a `setInterval` or something else like that which would mean execution never finished...
