What do you think about sites that preload pages you’re not on, and have not shown intent (Eg are not hovering over a link)
If it was a gallery, loading the next images would be a relatively good idea, because I'm quite likely to hit the > button. But on a page with many links, loading each sequentially might mean mean loading the first few before I click a non-loaded link half-way down the page.

Basically, if you have good heuristics for what is likely to be visited, then I'd say it's a good idea, but if you're just dumbly loading everything on the page I don't think everything will finish downloading in time to be useful.
