In the near future, most public content will be generated by "people" that don't really exist—photos, audio, videos, & posts all created by AI for a hidden purpose. If you think we have a fake news problem now, imagine a world where only a tiny fraction of content is authentic.

Even though this will be happen, why will we engage with this? Don't kids engage mostly on instagram, tiktok and snapchat with their friends from real life?

So really I wonder how these communities will interact with this content. Will it be taken seriously when it purports to show bad behaviour by an outgroup? Or will it just be considered 'fake' and looked past as if it is just a tree in a forest?
