I don't understand. Every $ that Epstein gives to some scientist is a $ being spent on science, not teenage prostitutes. The world benefits and Epstein gains nothing but living in a better world. What's wrong with taking his money? (Contrast to Saudi Barbaria tech investments.)

Is Epstein merely donating money without expectations of anything in return or does he appear to have a personal relationship with important people in email chains? Is he being wined and dined? Are the most prestiguous institutions in the world vying for his investments?

Basically, it's not taking his money that is wrong, but what kind of relationship this entails.

So in that case, it seems like the acceptance of donations is at most a prompt for further investigation. And if the other things you allege did not occur, it's a false alarm.

The point is, he clearly wasn't outcast from high society, and there were people that covertly maintained relationships with him. It doesn't need to be evidence of anything else, people don't expect prestigious institutions to take visits from underage sex traffickers.

It makes sense if you think about what it tells you about how low the bar is set. They take money from and go to the parties of people no matter their crime.
